Deborah “Debbie” Huckaby has been a leader of “new beginnings” for more than four decades in the fields of healthcare, business, and ministry. Debbie ministers with a passion for whole person health (mind, body, spirit), to people from all walks of life by speaking and writing about God’s word and by facilitating individual and group new beginnings.
She earned her Nursing degree from South Georgia College, and a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration from Brenau University. Following a call to the ministry, Debbie earned a Master of Theology from Wheaton College, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching and Global Leadership Transformation from Asbury Theological Seminary. Additionally, Debbie completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Israeli biblical, economic, political, and geographic history. Debbie is an ordained Wesleyan pastor, who has taught Theology and Bible classes for more than 20 years in her local church, and community, and through Athens College of Ministry.
Currently Debbie serves as the Clergy Care Coordinator and Thrive Financial Coordinator for the South Coastal District of The Wesleyan Church and as a Mentor for women clergy from across the nation through Asbury Seminary’s Women Thriving in Ministry program.
She is a wife, mother, and grandmother to five and when she can find the time, Debbie loves to walk her Maltese puppy, Bebee.
